Installing your new HID kit!

SWAP BULBS - Unplug the factory headlight plugs, remove the stock halogen bulbs and place the new HID bulbs into the headlight housings.

MOUNT BALLASTS - Use the ballast brackets under the tray in the HID box to mount your ballasts near your headlights.

LAY OUT WIRE HARNESS - Lay out your wire harness around the engine bay

CONNECT THE 5 PLUGS ON THE WIRE HARNESS.

1) Long ballast plug to the ballast on the opposite side of the battery.
2) Short ballast plug to the ballast on the side of the battery.
3) Power wire to the (+) terminal on your battery.
4) Ground wire to the (-) terminal on your battery. (Do not ground elsewhere)
5) Plug the OEM bulb plug on the harness into the factory headlight plug.

Note: You very likely will have to adjust the headlights to make the light shine lower on the ground. When you change bulbs, sometimes the adjustment can get off. Check your vehicle's manual for information.

Most H4/9003 kits on the market come with the option to connect directly to your factory wiring harness. We recommend using the included MobileHID.com wiring harness and all our H4 kits are sent out ready to install with plug and play connections.

IF YOU PURCHASED A KIT ELSEWHERE - follow this write up to modify your kit to ensure high beam functionality when using a MobileHID.com wiring harness.

Troubleshooting

Here are the most popular issues that our customers have with their HID conversion kit installation.

Flickering - If your headlights strobe, flicker or one side fails to ignite, you most likely have a ground or power issue that is preventing your ballasts from properly firing up. To fix this issue, connect the power and ground on your wire harness to the battery. If you do not have a wire harness, you can purchase one here.

Bulb fails to light up - If your HID bulb fails to light up, make sure your ballast plug is clipping over the triangular nub on the ballast. Also, make sure your wire harness has both the ground and power connected to the battery. If everything is connected properly, check your OEM headlight plug for damage. Using 80w or 100w bulbs for extended periods of time can melt the OEM headlight plug due to extremely high temperatures. Replace the OEM headlight plug (sometimes called a 'pigtail') and you should be fine.

Flickering while driving - If your headlights are flickering when you hit bumps in the road, most likely you have a faulty fuse. Just replace the fuse and you should be fine.
